ALL AMERICAN WINDMILL (Crochet)
This flower has "garden presence", standing
out both in colour and style but also one of the few exotic CASCADES of
the late garden. I saw ALL AMERICAN WINDMILL in its virgin bloom as a seedling
in the Crochet Garden of Prairieville, Louisiana some years back and it
was stunning. It has since grown well in our fosty winter climate and blooms
magnificently on branched scapes after almost our entire daylily collection
has finished. Slow to increase, but WELL WORTH the wait.
A relatively easy pod and pollen parent for us,
yielding many good seedlings.
