The COCKEREL Crispata
 
The drawing above is a simplified illustration of one particular pattern of crispation. The key elements to a COCKEREL Crispata are smooth petals and quilled sepals. The base form for this Crispata can be variable: rounded, spatulate or lanceolate. In the illustrations below, one can see in the cultivar BIMINI TWIST (tetraploid) a fuller formed flower with sepal quilling and in my own VANESSA ARDEN (diploid) one can see the flat-open lancelote form with sepal quilling.
