JAN'S TWISTER
This VARIABLE CRISPATA has exceptional substance and is therefore one of the most rain and sun-proof of the KINDLY LIGHT children that I know of. Very well branched once established, it is both pollen and pod fertile, yielding many seeds from those pollen donors that it takes a liking to. Nocturnally-opening, JAN'S TWISTER looks exceptional in heat where the inherent curl-twisting crispation pattern becomes more apparent. In cooler weather it opens perfectly and has a rich light melon pigmentation but can remain a bit flat.
Seedlings from this exceptional CRISPATA have been vigorous and ranging in form from very spider-like CLASSIC SPIDERS to much wider SPATULATES and Variable CRISPATAS. I undestand that the scapes on JAN"S TWISTER need assisitance in standing on certain soils. I have never had this problem on our clay-like sediment or at the nursery in the deep, sandy alluvial soil.
