Lady Arden 2014
A very floriferous, low-growing, delicate-looking flower. The foliage is somewhat thin and
upright-divergent, with the many scapes blooming just above the green tips. A delightful,
fairy-like flower of clear, clean lilac-lavender, named for an equally fairy-like person.

Lady Hawke (intro 2014)
Starting out the day as a pink bi-tone with lighter midribs, she often finishes a near ivory pink. Wonderful plant habit, branching, Cattelya orchid form (extreme spatulate), it's one of our best in this category. Similar to PALANTIR, it is, however, much lower and on a compact plant.
It has superb wide and ripply-edged foliage, well-branched scapes. A true garden jewel. ML, NOCT, Frag, DOR,
Lemon Starfish 1999 (Golliwog x Asterisk)
AHS DATABASE: height 28", bloom 7", season EM, Rebloom, Dormant, Diploid, Very Fragrant, 30 buds, 3 branches, Unusual Form Crispate, Medium yellow self above medium yellow throat.
LEMON STARFISH, being a yellow, was allotted to my "back burner status" for a number of years. I wanted to steer away from the yellows because the world over the yellows are usually those with the highest refinements and levels of perfection. But LEMON STARFISH just kept convincing me with its superb, super-flat form, flower power, branching, foliage and stand-out presence in the border.
Hardy to at least -30C, excellent growth and increase, I haven't used this one in breeding, but I could imagine that it would do the same as its siblings: FAIRY SUMMERBIRD, AUGUSTO BIANCO and LIMONCELLO.

Liselotte's Gift 2014 (Star of Galadriel x Hirsbrunner seedling)
Named in grateful recognition to Liselotte Hirsbrunner of Switzerland who gave me a seedling of hers that had this rosy-lilac blushed edges. I bred it to our STAR OF GALADRIEL and was surprised to see the blush pattern turn out even stronger than in the mother plant! THANK YOU, LISELOTTE!

This is LEMON STARFISH growing in a greenhouse in Israel. I was surprised at the massive size and deeper tone of colour under these conditions. The first flowers each season, of any cultivar, are usually not representative. Those on the left are more representative of this cultivar in a garden setting.
